The fine print

Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Drop2 app (“the App”).

In short: Drop2 is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End-User License Agreement (EULA). Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID, which you can cancel anytime. The App is a practice aid, provided “as is.”

Acceptance and license

By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms of Use. Your use of the App is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which you can read at apple.com/legal/…/stdeula. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as set out in that agreement. If anything in these terms conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA governs.

Subscriptions

The App is free to use, with an optional Premium subscription that unlocks its full set of trainers and coaching features. Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual), each starting with a 7-day free trial. Current pricing is shown in the App before you subscribe.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If you start a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. You can manage your subscription, or turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions). Purchases and any refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

The App is a practice aid

The App is a learning and practice aid, provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. Real-time pitch and chord detection depend on your microphone, playing environment, and instrument, and results may vary. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App. The warranty and liability terms of the Standard EULA also apply.

Acceptable use

Please use the App for your own practice. Do not copy, redistribute, rent, sell, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the App except as expressly permitted by the Standard EULA or applicable law.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how your data is handled.

Governing law

The license to the App is the Standard EULA above, which carries its own governing-law rules — for residents of the European Union (and Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland) it applies the law and the courts of your usual place of residence. For anything in these terms that the Standard EULA does not cover, the law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, none of this deprives you of protections granted by mandatory law of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

If these terms are updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the revised terms.
